Depending on how well you do, the car may drive very poorly from alignment you just messed up and will definitely put excess wear on the tires. If you decide to do it yourself, the first place you should drive after the work is the alignment shop. If done wrong, this can pose serious safety concerns for you and others driving around your car. You risk needing to have it towed or hire an onsite mechanic which would wipe out any cost savings. You can get the car apart but not back together. If you feel you are in over your head, I would suggest taking it to a shop for two reasons. You buy the tool and they allow you to return it for a full refund when you are done. Many of these tools are available as “loan a tools” from parts stores. You will also need several tools for this job such as a ball joint press, tie rod/ball joint separators, a hammer, many different sizes of sockets, a torque wrench, snap ring pliers, etc. You will need jack stands which you can pickup for $30-40 on sale. If this is your first time, block out a day to complete this job. You will save more than taking it to a shop and won’t have to redo part of the job in the future. If there is any question, replace the part. You can use this as a time to replace other wear items like brake pads and shocks/struts at the same time. You need to look at this ASAP as anything other than worn shock bushings poses a serious safety issue to you and anyone on the road around you. You might have worn shock/strut bushings, the ball joints, may be shot, and/or the tie rods may be shot. Next up, we’ll take our Perspective Ruler subtool and make sure the Process drop-down in the Tool Property window is set to Add Vanishing Point. The large central cube in the sketch below is the object that I’ll be using to line up my ruler. I’m not too worried about the accuracy of this sketch, I just want to have a basic idea of what I’m going to use the ruler for, especially a large focal object that I can use to position my vanishing point guides off of. Since two-point perspective is a little more complicated than one-point, I did start with a loose sketch this time before I began making the ruler. I’ll still go over the process again though, in case you read last week’s article but need a refresher. I’m going to say, again, that if you haven’t looked at the one-point perspective ruler entry from last week, you should probably go look at it! The creation process for two-point rulers builds off creating one-point (and creating three-point rulers builds off making two-point, so we’re building foundations here). That being said, let’s move on to creating two-point and three-point perspective rulers! Even after drawing perspective for years, I still learned a lot from this book when I was creating comics! If you’re a comic artist who wants to ramp-up your background drawing skills, I recommend “Vanishing Point: Perspective for Comics From the Ground Up” by Jason Cheeseman-Meyer as a fantastic book to have for reference. This is simply about how to use the Clip Studio Paint Perspective Ruler. That being said, this article will NOT be covering how to draw in perspective, or the more advanced concepts of perspective drawing. Thankfully, there are a lot of resources online that will teach you how to draw in one, two, and three-point perspective. It’s not a very difficult skill to acquire, but it does require some practice and a lot of learning. Being able to draw convincing perspectives is, in my opinion, a critical skill for just about any artist (but especially comic artists, concept artists, etc). In this article we will cover the following topics:īefore we get started, I want to say a few things about drawing in perspective. If you haven’t read that post yet, please do so because that’s where we covered the Perspective Ruler settings and the basics of setting up a one-point perspective drawing! Finally we’ve made it to the last of this ruler series, which is a continuation from the previous article about one-point perspective. And I still think that the built-in ruler tools are one of the coolest features in CSP. When I first learned about this software, it was the Perspective Ruler tool that made me realize how awesome it was and influenced my decision to start using it. I write weekly posts on and on CSP Tips, so be sure to come back every week to learn more Clip Studio Tips and Tricks from me! Many of you probably know my name from those books, in fact. I was a beta-tester on the Manga Studio 5 program and for Clip Studio Paint, and I have written three books and several video courses about the program. Hello! My name is Liz Staley and I’m a long-time user of Clip Studio Paint (I started using the program back when it was known as Manga Studio 4!). Spike: Fluttershy, we need you! You have to power up! Fluttershy: I'm sorry, it's just that nothing is making me mad. Spike: Fluttershy, where are you going?! Fluttershy: You seem to have everything under control. Power Ponies Applejack: Somepony wanna tell me what the hay is going on? Spike: Holy new personas, ponies! Y'know, 'professionalism' is my middle name. Am I making myself absolutely, one hundred percent crystal clear? Rainbow Dash: Yes, Ms. If you want to keep your job as coach of these ponies, you must maintain a professional attitude and keep your emotions in check. Diamond Tiara: Or maybe.get under their wings. Diamond Tiara: Did you see that?! I can’t believe I’m saying this, they could win! Silver Spoon: But how do we stop them? We already called them blank flanks! Diamond Tiara: Then we need to find a new way to get under their skin. Silver Spoon: Sure, but you know what you don't have? Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon: Your cutie marks! Blank flanks, blank flanks, blank flanks! Scootaloo: But we're winners! And we have hearts. I got it! It's a place where different kinds of ponies live together as friends! Apple Bloom: Earth ponies like me! Sweetie Belle: Unicorns like me! Scootaloo: And Pegasi like me! Rainbow Dash: I'm coming, Daring Do! Twilight Sparkle: That's not a plan!ĭaring Do: Have I mentioned yet that I work alone? Rainbow Dash: Have I mentioned yet that you're lucky I don't? Flight to the Finish Scootaloo: So. Twilight Sparkle: We're going to need a carefully thought-out plan. Yearling's alright! Twilight Sparkle: Oh no! What if something terrible happened to her? Rainbow Dash: I know! There might be no more books! Uhh, but, of course, I'd be worried about her, too. Pinkie Pie: Hey, you guys! Did you know I can totally play the organ? Because I didn't! Daring Don't Rarity: I hope A.K. well what do you know? Twilight? Castle Mane-ia Pinkie Pie: This is the most daring dare anypony ever dared dare another pony to dare! Rainbow Dash and Applejack: Huh? Pinkie Pie: It's exciting! Maybe if I climb up there, I'll be able to spot them. Spike: Are we there yet? Twilight Sparkle: I don't know where we are. Would I lie to you? Mane Six, except Fluttershy: Yes! Fluttershy: Um, maybe? Princess Twilight Sparkle - Part 2 Discord: Oh, I do hope she breaks into a song this time! Pinkie Pie: Most of my dreams are about frosting! ĭiscord: Ladies, ladies, I'm innocent. Rainbow Dash: I don't know if it's everypony's dream. It's everypony's dream to someday wear a crown and have their coronation ceremony preserved in stained glass for all to see. "I simply cannot let such a crime against fabulousity go uncorrected.Princess Twilight Sparkle - Part 1 Rainbow Dash: You gotta really flap 'em hard! Rainbow Dash: Oop, maybe not quite that hard. "What is life, is it nothing more than an endless search for a cutie mark? And what is a cutie mark, but a constant reminder that were all only one bug bear attack away from oblivion?" "My great- great- great- great grandfather was a unicorn, and Cup Cake's great aunts second cousin twice removed was a pegasus. "Out of all the things that could happen, this is THE. "Well that's just silly! Who said welcome parties were meant to be quiet?" "Forgive me if I withhold my enthusiasm." "Eternal chaos comes with chocolate rain, you guys! Chocolate rain!" If the sheath that covers the nerve remains intact after a cut, only the nerves farthest from the brain will be affected and die. If the bleeding does not stop, you should go to your nearest hospital or urgent care facility, as you may need stitches. If you cut your finger and it is bleeding, the first step is to apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Many of us are familiar with the throbbing pain of a cut or injured finger. What happens if you cut or damage a nerve in your finger? The median nerve is responsible for sensations in the thumb, index finger, middle finger, and part of the ring finger. The median nerve starts at the shoulder and enters the hand through the carpal tunnel in the wrist. The radial nerve is responsible for sensations at the back of the hand at the little finger and the other half of the ring finger. It travels up through the elbow and is responsible for the pain we feel when we bump our elbow. It provides sensations on the palm side of the hand. The ulnar nerve is located at the pinky finger and the adjacent side of the ring finger. The myelin sheath is responsible for speeding up nerve impulses, the intensity of which vary depending on their and the amount of tissue around them.Īlthough there are a countless number of nerve cells, there are three primary nerve systems in your hands, wrists, and arms. The peripheral nerves are made of bundles of nerve fibers, which are wrapped with layers of tissue that form what is known as the myelin sheath. They run throughout the body like wires, connecting the brain to other parts of the body or various parts of the body with each other. The peripheral nervous system consists of more than 100 billion nerve cells, or neurons. It’s essentially a communication network. Peripheral nerves transmit electric impulses into or away from the central nervous system as a form of communication. The peripheral nervous system is located outside of this area throughout the body. The central nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord. In simple terms, the body has two primary nervous systems: the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. “You really cut a nerve with that comment.”ĭo these phrases and idioms really relate to what nerves really are and what they do? Well, yes, they do - in a sense - when you think of it in terms of nerves sending signals to your brain, which controls your emotions. However, if the injury is not deep enough to sever the nerve, your hand can usually heal itself without surgery, although you still should seek emergency treatment when necessary. The sooner you get help for a damaged nerve in your finger, the more likely it is that full functionality can be restored. If you truly do cut the nerve itself, this really is as serious as it sounds, and you should seek care as soon as possible. Bulbs: Remove flowers from larger bulbs such as daffodils, along with the seed capsule.Even the thought of cutting a nerve in your finger can send a chill up your spine.Climbers: Deadhead climbers where practical, particularly Eccremocarpus as it rapidly produces seed pods.Avoid damaging buds or developing growths immediately below the flower Use finger and thumb to pick or snap off each dead head where it joins the stem or secateurs to cut just below the flower head. Shrubs: Among the most important shrubs to deadhead are rhododendron (and azaleas), camellias, lilacs and tree peonies.Roses: Gently snap off the faded flowers, breaking the stalk just below the head (also see ‘Where to cut’ below).Geraniums ( Pelargonium): Hold the faded flower stalk near the base and pull downwards. The faded blooms of argyranthemums, cherry pie, pansies, polyanthus and petunias can be removed with finger and thumb Bedding plants: Tender plants growing in beds, containers and hanging baskets respond well to deadheading. In practice, gardeners usually have to remove them as soon as they can and, thankfully, a few days delay won’t make a difference. Remove the spent flowers as soon as they look scruffy. If your ferret seems to be waking up at night, you may want to provide them with more activity before bed. This is typically not at night, so many will sleep during this time. Most will adjust their sleep schedule to when the household is most active. However, it also isn’t odd for ferrets to sleep 10 hours at night and 6 hours during the day. Many will sleep 7-8 hours at night and then another 7-8 hours during the day. Usually, they will divide this up somewhat evenly between the night and day. They need about 14 to 16 hours of sleep a day. Whenever it gets dark, ferrets will usually begin to settle down and sleep. Some ferrets may stay up a bit later than you, but they will usually sleep for much of the night. Those that are suddenly sleeping all day may have anemia or a similar problem.Īre Ferrets More Active at Night? Credit: christels, Pixabay Ferrets suddenly waking up during the day and night might be in pain or have an underlying health condition. However, if you notice a sudden change in your ferret’s sleeping habits, you should speak to a vet. Typically, they won’t sleep more than they need. A good rule of thumb is to allow your ferret to sleep as much as they want. There is no magical number of hours that your ferret should sleep, as it can vary depending on their activity level and age. Some may only seem to need 13 hours of sleep, while others will need 17. There is also a decent amount of variation between different ferrets. If you tend to sleep in, your ferret might too. If you’re most active in the morning, your ferret may wake up early. While most ferrets will sleep during the middle of the day, many will adjust to waking up when everyone starts coming home from work or school. Just like most creatures, ferrets will adjust their sleep cycle to match their surroundings. You may want to plan for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, but an uneven layout also works. Preferably, this should occur in the morning and the evening, when they are most active. You will need to let your ferret out of their cage for at least 4 hours a day. During the day, your ferret will spend much of their time sleeping. You can play and interact with your ferret in the morning before work and in the evening when you get back home. This schedule works out quite well for those with typical 9-to-5 jobs. Your ferret will probably be up around dawn and dusk, sleeping through the middle part of the day and night. In other words, they are most active around the twilight hours. Instead, they are considered crepuscular. They don’t stay awake all night or sleep for much of the day. Since the length of the interval is 2, the radius of convergence is 1. For example, since the series ∑ n = 0 ∞ x n ∑ n = 0 ∞ x n converges for all values x in the interval ( −1, 1 ) ( −1, 1 ) and diverges for all values x such that | x | ≥ 1, | x | ≥ 1, the interval of convergence of this series is ( −1, 1 ). The value R is called the radius of convergence. Since the series diverges for all values x where | x − a | > R, | x − a | > R, the length of the interval is 2 R, and therefore, the radius of the interval is R. The set of values x for which the series ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n ( x − a ) n ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n ( x − a ) n converges is known as the interval of convergence. The series may converge or diverge at the values x where | x − a | = R. Therefore, the series converges for all x such that | x | 0, R > 0, and diverges for all x such that | x − a | > R. Suppose that the set S =, the number R > 0. WritingĪnd let S be the set of real numbers for which the series converges. Therefore, there exists an integer N such that | c n d n | ≤ 1 | c n d n | ≤ 1 for all n ≥ N. Since ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n d n ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n d n converges, the nth term c n d n → 0 c n d n → 0 as n → ∞. If there exists a real number d ≠ 0 d ≠ 0 such that ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n d n ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n d n converges, then the series ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n x n ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n x n converges absolutely for all x such that | x | < | d |. ) We must first prove the following fact: (For a series centered at a value of a other than zero, the result follows by letting y = x − a y = x − a and considering the series ∑ n = 1 ∞ c n y n. Suppose that the power series is centered at a = 0. At the values x where | x − a | = R, | x − a | = R, the series may converge or diverge. There exists a real number R > 0 R > 0 such that the series converges if | x − a | R.The series converges for all real numbers x.The series converges at x = a x = a and diverges for all x ≠ a.The series satisfies exactly one of the following properties: We now summarize these three possibilities for a general power series.Ĭonsider the power series ∑ n = 0 ∞ c n ( x − a ) n. For example, the geometric series ∑ n = 0 ∞ x n ∑ n = 0 ∞ x n converges for all x in the interval ( −1, 1 ), ( −1, 1 ), but diverges for all x outside that interval. In that case, the power series either converges for all real numbers x or converges for all x in a finite interval. Most power series, however, converge for more than one value of x. Some power series converge only at that value of x. Therefore, a power series always converges at its center. For a power series centered at x = a, x = a, the value of the series at x = a x = a is given by c 0. Since the terms in a power series involve a variable x, the series may converge for certain values of x and diverge for other values of x. The music in Townscaper is, unsurprisingly, as gentle and soothing as the gameplay, ambient tracks that arise out of silence and fade back into it at intervals. Whether you create a massive village of winding streets and multistoried buildings or a simple little floating hamlet, it will look beautiful. Placing or removing a tile is instantaneous and accompanied by a gentle percussive “plop” sound that rises and falls in pitch, creating a bit of musical melody as you build. This one is a little tricky because you have to find the right spot on the grid (and turn the grid view on). It’s hard to overstate the chill vibe of Townscaper.
